Vague idea about product applications

When you invent or develop something new, you usually have a vague idea who could use it or benefit from it. Then you decide to follow this vague path. Often this takes you into the wrong direction and you end up believing that there is no use for the things you build. But actually, what history teaches us is that no one knows where the exact place of new technologies is. Almost all the big tech companies started with one application idea and ended up with something different. The story of famous ones Instagram (first app Burbn), Facebook (first stated as college network), Paypal (security software for handheld devices), Netflix (web movie rental service) are so funny and intrigued.

What I learned is that you should not be disappointed if the first people you reach out will say no. If you just re-frame things and start to think: “I am searching a place for the things I build, and I just need to offer them to enough number of people to test out and see where is the space for my tech”, you take off the enormous pressure out of you and make the whole process fun.
