Orthodoxy, innovation, thinking and various lessons

  • The capacity for knowledge creation is infinite.

  • The meaning of each person’s life is to find its own meaning.

  • We are all either hero stories or tragedy stories. Your life should be a hero story. Ultimately we all seek to be heroes of our own life stories.

  • Incremental steps do not create great businesses—only fundamentally new things do. Monopoly also wins.

  • Life is not chess but a poker game. Every decision is a bet with certain probability for desired or undesired outcomes.

  • Religion taught man how to live, act, and what to leave behind, along with many other things (morals, laws, how to build…).

  • Futuristic sci-fi stories are different ideas about the future. Inspiring stories about what can be if we choose to build it.

  • Knowledge creation costs. It is measured in terms of time units. All knowledge creation endeavors can be measured in units of time. Over time, knowledge creation is either an error-correcting process or conjunction. Time is then correlated with the resources needed for knowledge creation. Those resources are often food for universal constructors like people to be able to operate and do knowledge creation. In the current state of human development, these resources are tied to a value symbol we call money. Thus, all knowledge creation can be measured in units of time which correlate with units of money. We can achieve more knowledge creation if we input more time or money (assuming that people want to do knowledge creation activates). More knowledge creation leads to faster progress and ultimately can lead us to the future we are reading about in many sci-fi stories.

  • Your capacity for learning is infinite. Learn as much as you can about how the world works, what ideas and theories are out there. Discover, build and improve.

  • Think. Try. Think. Improve. Think. Use. Think. Forget. Think. Try…

  • What if we already have or will have super AI and that is humans using LLMs as it already helps them achieve more intelligence than before? Maybe we are already in the AGI age and having us with LLMs is just that?

  • All novel things we do can be the beginning of infinity.

  • You predict when you have good explanations and prophesy when you have bad explanations.

  • How will the future be imagined for futuristic people? The very notion that we do not know can tell us how we do not know how the future will look.

  • “Be dissatisfied with your work, but satisfied with working.”

  • Have your orthodoxy.
