Working in a start-up is like a Hero’s journey (read Jung and Campbell). Clearly it is an adventure. Call to do something greater than yourself. You chose a very difficult thing to do that rarely who done before (difficult goal to pursue). Then you go on and try to overcome all the hurdles, obstacles, and challenges you face in a start-up and building a company. At the end becoming a hero of your own story. While like in many heroes’ stories journey teach you the most valuable lessons. That is at least what I was trying to accomplish with all the people at my company (to be hero of your own story).
